The Incredible Polyester Plate
I made this film for my lithography class. The print was part of my senior thesis. If you are an aspiring polyester plate lithographer, I recommend reading more about the technique before attempting it. There are many variables, and my film abridges a lot of the trouble shooting.
Print I just finished in the Wassaic Project print studio.
“Fifth Dimensional Exploits”. Silkscreen. 4 layers. Edition of 8. 22”x26”.
My thesis is finally done. Check out my new pages. I’ll be posting more details of the foldables to my facebook page. Enjoy!
May 11th - Portraits - Parodies - Perspectives
First of a suite of prints i’ll be showing at my thesis. This is also probably going to be my show card. Five layers of Polyester Pronto Plate lithography.
My brother and I hanging out!
I present to you, the Lets Hangout Kit!
Basically all you do is draw yourself anyway you want, cut you and I out, and then our foldables hangout. What I’m actually planning to do is mail these out to every interested artist I know, asking them to send back the unfolded kit. Each envelope will include the return postage. I include the portrait of myself mostly for your own reference while you draw your own. I’ll probably spend a month cutting these out but it will be worth it. This collaborative project will be installed in the foreground of my thesis installation on May 11th. After the exhibition I’ll send all the foldables back to the artists that made them. If you’re interested in participating please let me know! Be part of something awesome!
Coming soon to the Dorsky Museum! Portraits, Paradies and Perspectives! The culmination of my academic career! The opening will take place at the Dorsky Museum in New Paltz New York on May 11th. If you are reading this right now then you are invited! Please come and celebrate this momentous occasion with me!
For a print exchange titled, Last Year I was a… blank. Three layers of polyester plate litho and three layers of silkscreen.
